RENOVATED FARMHOUSE
Our clients, a family of 7 wanted a very functional kitchen that would suit a traditional cottage. A classic-contemporary bespoke cabinetry design for a large and busy family in a 19th century Cumbrian cottage. We created a space that helped to keep the family organised and together.
GEORGIAN TOWNHOUSE
A Georgian period home had 3 rooms opened to create a well-proportioned family interior space letting them cook, dine and relax together. Keeping it simple but glamourous with a modern colour scheme and features such as bi-folding doors to the breakfast cabinet. The furniture, made in our Cumbrian workshops, was spray painted in Farrow and Ball colours for a smooth, elegant and durable finish.
RAISE THE ROOF
With the original series of small rooms, this new space was not working for our returning client. Together we decided to remove several internal walls to create one large kitchen dining space. Incorporating original features such as the chimney breast, we created oven housings, storage and bespoke shelving. This 4 metre long island was designed to include a dining area with a handmade bench seat, with a view.
HISTORY IN THE MAKING
The client, a returning customer, came to us for the same service they had enjoyed 15 years previous.
The property, an historic old mill with a working water wheel in the kitchen.
This is such a strong feature that the client wanted something simple and timeless and by creating a ‘country cupboard’ with neat pocket doors, we changed not only the shape but also the storage capabilities for the room.
FAMILY HUB
Replacing a standard projecting conservatory with an airy wrap round extension has created one large, family hub. It’s large windows allow plenty of natural light and the exposed A-frame timber beams add character and a feeling of space. A cosy lounge space sits in the original kitchen area and the tonal hues in the natural stone floor lead to the bespoke, hand painted kitchen furniture with its British handmade pewter handles.
